                          Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is the oldest and core based branch among the entire branches. The Department of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2009.

                          Our vision is to educate and enrich effective and responsible Junior Mechanical Engineers to fulfill the needs of industry and society, where teaching, learning synergize to deliver technical education for public good.

                          Our mission is to create efficient Jr. Mechanical engineers who can compete. The projects and hands-on activities are designed to foster a spirit of learning new skills among students and to enable them to develop multidisciplinary skills, communication skills, professional attitude and ethics.

                         The department was recognized by State Board of Technical Education, AP. The department has experienced faculty members in all streams of Mechanical Engineering and skilled supporting staff. The department regularly organizes technical workshops/Seminars for the student and faculty members to expose them to emerging areas.

                          The department has library services along with learning environment classrooms. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. We strive for all round excellence in students, encouraging them in all extracurricular and seminar activities and Inter College indoor and outdoor games.

                           The department is very well equipped with workstations loaded with wide range of machinery equipment and software labs related to CAD/CAM covering all areas of Mechanical Engineering. Students are also encouraged to take part in awareness campaigns that have social relevance.

                           Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three-year undergraduate program divided into six semesters focusing on various aspects of Mechanical technology and engineering. This program trains students in designing, manufacturing, maintaining, and understanding the functioning of Mechanical components and also in other. The syllabus is as per the State Board of Technical Education, AP.

                          Eligibility for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering requires a class 10 qualification with at least 60% marks from a recognized board. Admission to Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is typically based on merit or entrance exams.
